Our Proposal

Key Design Features

  • 7.2m x 4.2m building.

  • Dual purpose space featuring a lounge area and office space.

  • Vertical, No. 2 grade, western red cedar cladding t&g profile.

  • Anthracite UPVC Bi-fold door, corner aspect window & full height window.

  • Twin 1.2m x 1.2m fixed glazing skylights.

Project Challenges

When a large structure is placed near large trees that provide shade for a large portion of the day, and the internal wall space can’t be given up to further windows, then skylights are the ideal option.

In this design, the building features two 1.2m x 1.2m fixed glazing skylights to provide plenty of natural light throughout the building and also to form a feature above the lounge seating area.

Through discussions with the ceiling suspended, bioethanol heater manufacturers, we also ensured the heater had sufficient support for its required fixings and its resulting position matched with the customer’s preference.
