·        Vertical clear grade western red cedar cladding finished with Remmers UV protection.

Project Challenges

Although planning permission is not normally required for our buildings, the conservation area status for this property meant that full planning approval would be needed; we also needed to navigate the issue of some nearby trees having preservation orders.

To assist with the planning application, we produced accurate scaled plan drawings and the method statement for the foundations to overcome the tree TPOs. This was all approved by St Albans planning department in early 2023 and built by us in July 2024. This was the end of a process that first stated in May 2022.
